With your support, we provide hands-on film workshops, youth programs (in development), and community events that inspire future storytellers. Our Film Academy allows students and filmmakers learn the craft, connect with mentors, and develop creativity that extends beyond the screen. This initiative stems from a passion for entrepreneurship.

Empowering Local Talent
Georgia’s coast has many talented creators, and GIFS proudly offers a platform for their voices. Your membership allows us to host networking events, pitch sessions, special events and panels, helping local talent showcase their work and grow within the industry.

As a member, you help us host community screenings, Q&As with industry professionals, and cultural events that connect people through storytelling. From the annual Golden Isles Film Festival to monthly gatherings, your support enables us to create events that celebrate both film and community.

    • Be a Film Pioneer – As a Founding Member, your name will be permanently listed on our website and festival program, recognizing you as an early supporter of film in the Golden Isles;

    • VIP Access to our Programs – Get discounted festival passes and priority registration for workshops at our Film Academy. All GIFS events are at no additional cost to you!

  • We offer several membership tiers to suit your needs:

    • Student and Military Membership: $65/yr (or $50/yr when 2+ are purchased in a single order.)

    • Monthly Membership: $150/yr (or $135/yr when 2+ are purchased in a single order.)

    • Annual Membership: $500/year (or $485/yr when 2+ are purchased in a single order.)

    Each tier comes with its own set of benefits, and you can compare them on our membership page.

  • Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase. You’ll receive a reminder when your membership is about to expire, with an option to renew and continue enjoying your benefits with us.

    If you plan on ending your membership, please connect with us to let us know about your experience and if there are any perks that you’d like to have in your membership.

  • Yes! If you’d like to upgrade to a higher membership tier at any time, simply reach out to us at here, and we’ll help you make the change. Your membership benefits will be adjusted accordingly.

  • Members gain access to select film screenings, special events, networking opportunities, and members-only content such as filmmaker Q&As and our member portal to learn more in depth about our programs and need-to-know opportunities. You’ll also receive early access to register for workshops and film industry panels offered through our Film Academy.

  • Yes! We offer gift memberships, which make great presents for film lovers, aspiring filmmakers, and anyone interested in supporting the motion arts.

    Simply purchase any membership level (excluding student and military membership) and email us (info@goldenislesfilmfestival.org) the name of the recipient and their contact information (i.e. name, email and message to send from you, if applicable.).

  • Yes! The Golden Isles Film Scoiety, DBA Golden Isles Film Festival, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

    A portion of your membership fee may be tax-deductible. It’s best to consult your tax advisor for what specific portion of your membership is tax deductible as it varies between members.

  • After your secure your membership with us, you will receive email invitations for upcoming exclusive member events, including advanced screenings and networking opportunities. Simply follow the registration links provided in the emails, and you’ll be able to reserve your spot.

  • Absolutely! We encourage all members to get involved as volunteers during the Golden Isles Film Festival and other events throughout the year. Volunteering is a great way to connect with the community, support the arts, and enhance your festival experience. After all, we’re built by the community, for the community.
